Pricing & Subscription
Is UsUniMatch free?
Yes, basic use is free. On the free plan you can search and filter about 50 curated US universities and see cost, scholarship, and admission summaries on list cards. Blog guides and side-by-side comparison for up to three schools at once are included.
Pro unlocks the full catalog (1,700+ schools), full profile pages, unlimited favorites, the application tracker, and an ad-free experience. See the Pricing page for current prices.
How much do the paid plans cost?
Monthly plan is $14.99/month (billed monthly). The 3-month package is $24.99 total (average ≈ $8.33/month). The 6-month package is $39.99 total (average ≈ $6.67/month). Prices are in USD; your bank may charge at its own exchange rate.
Can I get a refund?
No. UsUniMatch does not provide refunds for the purchased period on paid subscriptions. Your payment grants access to the service for the duration of the plan you selected.
You can cancel your subscription at any time; after cancellation, your Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period, and no charge is made for the next period. See the Subscription & Cancellation Policy page for details.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open Profile → Subscription to reach our payment provider Lemon Squeezy’s customer portal. There you can turn off renewal: no further billing, and your Pro access continues until the end of the period you already paid for.
Is payment secure?
Card payments are processed through a PCI DSS-compliant payment provider; your full card number is never stored on our servers. The site is encrypted with HTTPS (SSL).
Why are the 3-month or 6-month packages better value?
If you paid monthly three times separately, the total would be higher. By paying $24.99 total in a single 3-month package, you lower the average monthly cost. The 6-month package reduces the monthly average further if you need a longer research window.
Product & Data
Is UsUniMatch a consulting agency?
No. UsUniMatch is a data and discovery platform that takes no commission from schools. Our goal is to make it easy for you to make your own decisions by transparently presenting cost, scholarship, and admission data side by side.
What can I filter in the university list?
Text search (school name, city), US state, region, institution type (public/private), scholarship type (Merit, Need, Both), net cost ceiling, acceptance-rate ceiling, minimum international-student percentage, enrollment band, and sort order (e.g. net cost, scholarship, acceptance rate, name).
Cards summarize metrics such as international share, enrollment, and aid/cost figures where available.
Where does your data come from, and how current is it?
Data is derived from CDS (Common Data Set) published by universities, IPEDS, institutional announcements, and publicly available sources. A bulk update is targeted at the start of each academic year; we still recommend verifying any official offer or scholarship condition on the relevant university's current page.
Does every university have the same information on its detail page?
On the free plan, full profile pages are available for schools in the curated sample; outside that set you’ll see a teaser and can unlock with Pro. Pro opens full profiles across the catalog.
Fields depend on what exists in our dataset; some values may be missing. Always confirm application and aid rules on the university’s official site.
What should I do if I see incorrect or missing data?
You can write to us through the contact channel (About / contact info) specifying the school name and field. We'll check the source and try to make corrections; the final official information always belongs to the university.
Scholarships & Funding
How reliable is the scholarship data?
Summary amounts and types come from public data and institutional sources. A high “max aid” figure or a generous-looking summary does not mean you will receive that package—your offer is decided by the school.
Does a strong aid summary or a high rank in the list guarantee a scholarship?
No. What you see is a dataset summary. Your file, visa status, and school policy determine outcomes. Final aid and admission are set only through the university’s official process.
International Students
I'm planning to study in the US on an F-1 visa — is this platform useful for me?
Yes. Cost, scholarship, and campus summaries help with school selection and budget planning. Check our blog guides for visa applications, I-20, and consulate processes; official procedures always belong to the US government and the university.
Are TOEFL / IELTS requirements listed?
List cards focus on cost, aid, and admission summaries. Minimum English scores and exemptions change often—check each university’s official admissions or international pages for current language requirements.
Account, Privacy & Security
Is it required to create an account?
You can browse the university list and blog without an account. Favorites are stored locally on your device for now. Signing in is required for Pro checkout and the application tracker.
How is my personal data protected?
Our Privacy Policy summarizes what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. Payment data is processed without storing your full card number.
